Belle of the Bay

f/3.2, ISO-100, 1/60 sec.

Berthed at Mission Bay in San Diego, California the Bahia Belle is a turn-of-the-century, Mississippi-style sternwheeler.

The Belle of the Bay is a Victorian-styled paddlewheeler that takes passengers on nostalgic cruises across the waters of the world famous aquatic park.

The Belle, and her larger cousin, the William D. Evans, can be reserved for private events such as wedding receptions.

It’s a fun thing to do when on vacation in America’s Finest City.

The header photo (see original below) was post-processed with an antique, vignetting filter.

  1. I’ve been on the Bahia Belle several times … many years ago. It does my heart good to know people are still enjoying it. Great job on the photos! At first, I actually how wonderful it was that you were able to find an old photo of it. It hadn’t changed at all! But oops, the umbrella gave it away. The LORD gave you a great eye! I love all your photos.
