Floral photography is very popular, but it is not my specialty even though Aconiums and Pride of Madeira is the most popular post on this photo blog. Most of my past images have been fuzzy, blurry and unpleasingly soft out to the edges. There are photographers in our WordPress universe who capture awesome floral images. I bow to their talent and skill.
The mistake I often make is getting too close to the subject. I’ve only recently begun using a macro lens at 150mm. This allows the camera to get close, but from a distance which also enhances the eye-popping depth of field.
I’ll let you be the judge.

Nice and crispy edges!

Nice images DavidI I didn’t know that they made a 150mm macro lens.

Sigma makes a 150mm nacro, but I use the Canon 55-250 and set it at 150.
