A pack of stray dogs wandered into the San Diego Zoo Safari Park Sunday afternoon. One of the dogs got trapped inside the Gorilla exhibit. Wildlife specialists were able to recall the gorillas before any harm was done to the dog.
Zoo staff said that the “recall” is a training procedure to evacuate an exhibit in the event there is any danger to the animals or the public.
The Safari Park is a sprawling 1,800 acre facility in the isolated Pasqual Valley northeast of San Diego. It is not known how the dogs were able to enter the park. Officers from the Humane Society were able to safely remove the trapped dog which was not chipped or tagged.

That old silverback really is fast! That’s how they scare away potential enemies.

I live close to here. I know wild animals/birds penetrate the site intensely. I read this story. Interesting that a dog could breach the supposedly impenetrable, in and out, barriers.
